India: Naxalites blast police station "Peoples War Group (PWG) Naxalites today blasted a police station in Ananthapur even as 14 ultras surrendered before the police in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh.
A group of 10 PWG naxals stormed a police station at Roddam Mandal, about 70 km from Ananthapur, and blasted it after forcing Sub-Inspector Nabi Rasool and Constable Nagaraju out and fettering them with ropes, the police said.
In a letter left at the site, the ultras said their action was in retaliation to the "fake encounters" in Cuddapah district, they said."
Nepal's new PM faces Maoist's demands "Nepal's Maoist rebels are urging new Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa to resume stalled peace talks. Mr Thapa has been sworn in, but did not comment on the rebels' demands."

"Four persons, including three CISF jawans, were killed when suspected ultras of the Maoist Communist Centre triggered a landmine blast in Bokaro district early today.
The incident occurred at Karo mines under Bermo sub-division, police said. The jawans were on patrol when the ultras triggered the blast. The driver of the patrol vehicle was also killed in the explosion."

Nepal: Soldier abducted "Maoists abducted a soldier form his home Salleri village in Dailekh, published reports said. He was identified only by his surname Shahi who worked as a driver with the Bhavani Bux Gulm.
The abduction comes amid angry exchange of accusations and a clash Tuesday in Ramechap between the army and rebels killing an insurgent."
Major rally in people’s area of Nepal "According to the May 6th issue of Janadesh, the revolutionary Kathmandu weekly, a huge mass meeting successfully took place at Thawang in the district of Rolpa in Nepal.
Thawang is a small town situated at the lap of the Sisne Himalaya (snowy mountain) and Jaljala hummock. It is renowned for its revolutionary heritage, comparable to Saint Antoine in 19th-century Paris, Viborg in Bolshevik Saint Petersburg, Chingkangshan in Mao’s China and Ayacucho in modern Peru. In 1982, at the call of the Maoist party the masses of Thawang completely boycotted the Panchayat parliamentary election. Consequently, the Royal Army launched a military operation. But the people of Thawang stood firm and bold against the enemy. Since then, Thawang has been a beacon of revolutionary upsurge, revolutionary spirit and revolutionary victory in Nepal. Several times there have been military operations there, both before and since the People’s War, and this hilly town was burned down. Still the people stood up and rebuilt it on the ashes."
